We started our day with some filling breakfast eg. rice dumplings!
Here we go towards Gujo Hachiman by bus!

Along the journey, we met this cute little rainbow house~

Finally, we arrived Gujo Hachiman Busstop. Since it is an express bus, YES,we are being dumped on the side of the highway at a deserted bus stop. =.=||.. We have to walk to the train station so that the Minako-san(organiser) can pick us up from there. So, we got the correct directions and here we go! Walking towards the train station with some energy left! meanwhile, carrying some luggage…

We walk along the yoshidakawa river, des[ite the extremely hot weather, we were cooled down by the clear water in the river and the things happening around… Families playing happily in the cooling water. Fish-men or ojisan-s standing in the water, still, waiting for a catch! =) Different houses surrounded by patches of paddy field…  How picturesque is that! owh~~~~~~

We went along with the railway, river, agriculture, shops, cars and then we arrived the train station! The train station is still functioning as a transportation hub but it also acts as a train station museum…
The train museum with old schedule, old train, old office, old machinery and old station master as well.

Then we were welcomed by minako and yamada san with 2 vans bringing our luggage. Then we reached the zenkuangsi 善光寺。。。是个民宿,我们一个星期的课就在这儿咯~ =)

After settling our luggage and rooms, the route to the understanding of Gujo Hachiman Started. They brought us around Gujo Hachiman.

Knowledge of the day:
Timber column, real and untouched. Bark was teared off, naturally tree oil maintain its quality. Persimmon tree oil was layered on the skin. and that’s it~… monocolumn and column…

Day was ended with the Gujo dance. A dance where it will forms a complete circle at the end. They can dance continuously until late night! wearing that geta… such a wonderful experience and we are hot and sweaty!
